The Gamekeeper hires an out of town “hitman” to kill a rogue Artificial Intelligence node that is corrupting the code of the simulation and the sim’s characters. The rogue AI node is meddling with the Gamekeeper’s plans and may have corrupted the Gamekeeper’s own, personal code, if he, in fact, is programmed by one. But does killing a sentient AI node a kin to murder versus the risk of letting sentient AI run amok, unchecked.
The heroes seek out the assassin to determine if killing the AI node is the only option.
